Hexagon MCP privacy policy.

Last updated October 25, 2026. This policy covers Hexagon MCP, an open source tool published by Smallware Co. Hexagon is software you run on your own computer. It is not a hosted service.

When you connect your own Google account, Hexagon can read data from the Google services you choose to enable:

If you add Reddit credentials, Hexagon also reads public posts from subreddits you name.

Hexagon only uses this data to answer the queries you or your AI assistant send it. It runs read queries only. It does not change your Search Console, Analytics, AdSense or Google Ads settings, content or campaigns.

Google offers a broader permission for Google Ads than for the other services. Hexagon requests it only because Google requires it for Keyword Planner, and it does not use it for anything beyond reading keyword ideas.

Results are returned to the AI application you connected Hexagon to, such as Claude Desktop, on your own computer. That application then handles the results under its own terms and privacy policy. Hexagon does not send your data to Smallware Co., to me, or to any other server.

Nothing. Hexagon has no server, no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no telemetry. Smallware Co. does not receive, store, sell, share or transfer your Google data or your credentials.

Your OAuth client ID, client secret and refresh tokens are stored in a .env file on your own computer, which you create and control. Do not share that file or commit it to a public repository. Anyone who has your refresh token can read the data it grants access to.

Hexagon's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can remove Hexagon's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting your .env file removes the stored credentials from your computer. For Reddit, you can delete the app or reset your credentials in your Reddit account preferences.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
